Points Rummy is a variation of Indian Rummy played with a standard deck of 13 cards with a pre-decided rupee value. It is one of the fastest variants, and with a valid declaration, the winner receives zero points. The opponent gets a penalty based on the number of ungrouped cards available.
Points Rummy, Pool Rummy, and Deals Rummy are variants of Indian Rummy, and you can try out all of them on the Rummy Sarkar app.
Points Rummy: The fastest version of Indian Rummy, generally played for one round. A player brings a minimum amount to the table, and the game is played for a pre-decided rupee value. Once a player makes a valid declaration, they becomes the winner. The rest of the players receive penalty points.
Pool Rummy: The lengthiest version of Indian Rummy; if the players reach 61, 101, or 201 scores, they get eliminated. The player who survives at the table becomes the winner.
Deals Rummy: You play this Rummy game for two or three deals. At the end of the last deal, the player with the maximum number of chips is declared the winner. You receive a penalty if you miss consecutive turns or drop out of the game.
A player participating in a Point Rummy game can score a maximum of 80 points. Therefore, if the sum of the unarranged cards of any player exceeds 80 rummy points, their score is limited to 80 points only.
